Events entered into the system prior to the addition of the individual event timezone feature are defaulting to GMT0 timezone and not the default timezone set in the Settings page.

This presents an issue because we have many, many events entered previously that now show what appears to be the incorrect / wrong time (GMT0). Even though the event page indicates that the event “was created in GMT0”, that’s not really clear to the user what that means.

Is there a way to update all previously entered events to use the default timezone without having to go into each event individually and update the timezone?

  • Hello,

These are events imported from a Google calendar?

Hi, no they are not being imported from a Google calendar.

Many were entered into the calendar in 2012/2013 and set to repeat forever. We have just corrected them manually by going into each event and setting the time zone.

I will keep an eye out and see if it happens with any of our other sites.

I thought maybe it was because they were entered so long ago.

    Hello,

Okay, please let us know if this happens again.

    Thanks,
    Ben
