    Heya,

    For some reason, when a user navigations through all of the posts on my site (previous_post_link function), eventually they get redirected to a page. Can anyone explain why this would happen?

    Here’s the last post, select the previous button and you’ll see what I mean.

  • what code is used for the ‘prev/next’-post-link?

    there is a chance that the slider code is interfering.
    what is the code of that slider?

    Hi Alcymyth, it’s using the “previous_post_link” function to display those links.

    Can you elaborate on your question “what is the code of that slider”? That didn’t make sense to me.

    Thanks!

    what is the code of that slider

    sometimes, some code can interfere with other codes later on that site;
    a slider for instance might use a custom query or so…

    as the slider is active on the page with the problem, just hidden, it is part of the troubleshooting to check the code –

    Turns out it was the Page Links To plugin (a very reliable plugin I’ve used for years). The plugin redirects users from a particular post or page to somewhere else that the user points it to. Apparently my co-worker employed this on a post, hence the redirection for the last post in the list.
