Previous WordPress files exist

    I tried to install WordPress through cpanel and it came up with a message saying that inside the public_html folder WordPress was already installed.
    I have looked and searched for wp files and I can’t find anything. It’s very annoying. Ideally i want to install WP to the home directory so it’s not confusing having it within another folder with the URL.

    Does it matter that Drupal is already installed?

    I think you need to contact your hosts about this. It sounds like an installer issue – not a WordPress one.

    ok so I need to remove Drupal first … will try that!
