    Hello Everyone,

Can someone help me please? I’m having an issue when using Jetpack, this is my first time using this awesome plugin. So I currently use a theme that require Jetpack to show the view counts on the metadata (below the Post Title, like 2 Feb – by Admin – 100 views)

Without Jetpack, the view counts didn’t show up. But when I activate Jetpack – Site Stats, all the view counts were gone, all set to 0 (zero). Yes, the view count box showed up, but the numbers are gone.

Is there any way to make my previous view counts transferred to Jetpack Site Stats or simply replaced? Or maybe there’s some code to inject the view counts from my previous plugin into Jetpack? I’m using WP-PostViews previously.

I’m kinda panic, sorry for the bad English.

    Thank you.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid it’s not possible to import stats from a different service into Jetpack. To solve this issue, I’d recommend that you contact the theme author for help. If they included an option to display view counts from 2 different plugins (WP-PostViews or Jetpack Stats), they should be able to help you add view counts from both plugins and then display that total count on your site.
Of course, that means you’ll need to make sure WP-PostViews doesn’t continue to record stats, otherwise the view counts will display a double amount of visitors ??

Hi Jeremy, thanks for the feedback. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough, so yeah I also use WP-PostViews to enhance the view counts (but the view count’s only show at the back-end screen), the view counts that showed on the previous theme on the front-end screen is different, so I assumed that the view counts stats is not taken from the WP-PostViews plugin.

What I expect when moving to new theme is the view counts still there, even though I add Jetpack. Is there any way to help me get my previous organic view counts shows again?

    Thank you.

I’m afraid I can’t help you there, as I don’t know how the view counts are displayed in your theme. If they’re pulled from Jetpack Stats, then the counts will be visible as long as there are recorded visits for that post. You can check that under Jetpack > Site Stats in your dashboard.

If the counts use a different stats services, you’ll need to check your stats there.

Ultimately, if your old theme used one counting system and your new theme uses a different counting method, you won’t be able to keep the counts without editing the new theme’s files. The theme author should be able to help you there.

    I hope this helps.
