Previous post widget goes to bottom of page

    you have wrong tags – mismatched tags and unclosed tags that will hurt your layout

    It seems that this is an theme level issue. Please change your theme to default and have a check.

    if you had looked you would see he is already running the default theme

    Someone emailed saying they had same problem and it may help if I make sidebar wider.

    until you fix the errors all adjustments will make the problem worse

    I`ve switched themes (classic theme) of my blog so there are no errors in default script and the the previous post pics are now near the top of the page on the side bar.

    However only the latter previous posts are displayed, that is to say not the latest ones. Is this a problem with the widget or WP?

    some advice?
    for all the stuff you want to do, the default and classic themes really aren’t the est choice.
    Personally, I would disable all widgets and plugins then install a new theme
    themes.wordpress.net
    that you like

    see how that looks
    then add widgets and plugins one by one – testing look in between
