“Previous Events” and “Next Events” button is not working in a list view

    On the mentioned page I have a list of all events. When I click the first one and use the ‘next event’ it doesn’t seem to go to the next event on the list, but the next event in the same category (it seems). I have tried to search the forum to see if any body had the same issue. Couldn’t find any. Any help or references to post or FAq is much appreciated.

  • By default post navigation is controlled by your theme (not part of EM).
    It only shows (mostly) when you display events as posts. Most themes do not have post navigation in their pages templates.

    The thing is that WP (and your theme) query the posts by creation/publish date. Of course you want them listed/lined up by event date, which is a different (custom) field that default navigation does not use.

    Hi @duisterdenhaag Thank you so much for your answer. It seems to be just the thing I am looking for. I followed your excellent tutorial, but it doesn’t seem to work. So here comes maybe the stupid question (since I don’t have much experience editing functions.php): I added the added the code just at the end of all other code in the functions.php file. Should it be placed somewhere else specificly?
