Previous Entries Randomly Replicating

  • I have a strange situation where someone submits a form on one day and the exact same contents in the form is automatically generated on a different day from the same user name, same ip address, same form name – just a different date/time stamp on a different entry id. The replication can occur the next day or several days later. And it doesn’t necessarily replicate just once. I have one user’s form that has replicated 7 times from the original entry from dates ranging from December 14 (original entry) to January 9. However, it doesn’t happen to everyone else using the exact same form. (That is, I have entries using the same form that have only 1 entry.)

    An email is sent out to us each time a new entry id is created, but I don’t know if it is being sent to the originator so I am trying to test if it is being sent out to them too by completing the form myself (in hopes that my entry might just trigger it to randomly replicate.)

    Currently using WordPress 5.8.3 and Visual Form Builder Version 3.0.6.

    Any suggestions what might be causing the whole form to replicate in the Visual Builder Entries section and sending out at least an email to us?

    Same problem here. No fix and no response from support. Even bought PRO version.
    Really bad support. Don′t by.

    Same started happening for me as well. I’m seeing duplicate entries hours apart – but they’re still the same.
    The clients who sent them were able to assure us that they haven’t gone back and resubmitted the form, and this is a thing that started happening very recently.

    I came here to ask for support with this since I don’t have the PRO version, but according to @mofpe – having the PRO version doesn’t make things better…

    Thanks, @mofpe mofpe. I don’t have the pro version so I was a bit concerned when you said it happens to you and you do have the pro version. Maybe that’ll be helpful in resolving the problem.

    @pashakagan – Did your clients indicate whether they were getting duplicate messages sent to themselves too or are you just receiving the duplicate messages (based upon duplicate entries)?

    @michaeldeyoung both. I see the duplication (or quadruplication…) in their dashboard, and they did get repeated emails on submissions.

    I am having the same issue. Using the pro version, WP 5.9. VFB Pro 3.4.6.

    The form it is happening on is using the text confirmation type. Some forms are submitted up to 4 times. The gaps between them is random.
