    Hi,

I’m sure I must have missed something because this seems so basic. I have installed the plugin and previewed it successfully and everything looks great! However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to switch between preview and live mode (maybe it disappered). If I click the Preview button, I am able to view the mobile site either on my desktop or from my mobile, but once I log out of the site, mobile users see the main site.

    Regards,

    Hey Karambir,

There is no “switching” necessary for the plugin to work on the mobile version of your site. As long as the plugin is enabled, then your site should load up with the WPSmart Mobile theme on smartphone devices. With that being said, if the theme doesn’t load then there must be an issue. Could you let us know what other plugins you’re running that may be clashing with the plugin?

    Thanks!

When I empty the page cache in WordPress W3 Total Cache, I see the mobile page again, so this seems to be part of the problem. At some point, the mobile landing page seems to fall out of the page cache and mobile users see the main site.

I have resolved this myself. To summarize, W3 Total Cache will try and cache mobile pages unless told not to. The result is that it may send desktop pages to mobile devices and vice versa.

The solution is to go to the User Agent Groups page for W3 Total Cache (Performance -> User Agent Groups) and copy the entire list of of user agents. Then go to the Page Cache page (Performance -> Page Cache) and paste the list copied previously into the space labeled Rejected user agents. Save all settings and empty the page cache and you’re good to go.
