  • I have the same problem, but no error messages. I ended-up installing a separate PDF embedder for documents I want users to be able to read online.

Hello @iyajing, I took a look at your site and your are having some admin-ajax.php issues.

I see the error: Failed to load resource: The network connection was lost.

Check your servers error logs it may have more details.

Hi @bhaldie I checked the logs, I dont see any error appearing into it. I also checked the keywords admin-ajax and “Failed to load resource”, it didn’t appear on the logs. Can you tell me what specific error to look for?

    Thanks.

@bhaldie I tried installing on one of my wordpress site that I manage, and preview is working. I tried re-installing on the site where I reported the error, it still has the same error. The difference is that I used HTTPS on the site with error, do you think it is related to that?

more than likely you have mixed content meaning you have some https and http content on the site.

Found the error. It is because of the plugin “Remove HTTP”, I used this to correct and fix the mixed http and https content. I replaced it with “Force HTTPS”. Everything is working fine now.

glad you figured it out ??

I have started to get this error when trying to preview Google documents.
“Sorry the file type you are trying to preview is unsupported.”
Have many documents uploaded that we can no longer preview.
Have you any suggestions for me please?

If you want a full range of supported files you will need to use the Box View Previewer you can goto the settings where you will find the option to enable it. As well as documention on how to set it up.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn’t realise that support for Google Docs preview was discontinued. In settings I selected the Box View option and followed the setup instructions provided step by step and Box View is working properly. Great relief. Thanks again
