Preview image in posts?

    Hi there,

    I’m hosting a wordpress bloq for my wife and she used Picasa Express for quite a while.

    I implemented the updates (2.0.2) and now she does not see the inserted images while writing a post, but there is the link to the image. This is quite confusing as she is not really a techie, but an author.

    Is there a new setting that prevents the image to show up? Or is this changed completely?

    Hello meetwp,

    the issue is in the backend, so there is nothing to show in public ??

    If someone needs that I can provide an screenshot when I’m back home.

    it states

    After upgrade, selection dialog displays blank screen
    If the upgrade to version 2 causes the selection dialog to no longer return albums and photos, this is probably caused due to changes in the token authorization process.

    Changes were made to the token authorization process to fix issues on Google’s side, and these changes have altered the URL used to generate the token. This can cause Google to think you’re providing an invalid token.

    To fix the issue, simply revoke access (through the plugin) and request it again.

    Hope this solves the issue.

    Hello,

    unfortunately revoking and request new access to generate the token does not help.

    The selection dialog does show the pictures in the albums. But the inserted image is not shown in the text while typing.

    “Insert” does not insert the picture in the text you write, but it inserts a link like this one:

    If you hit “Preview” the picture is shown in the text, but it was more comfortable to have it shown while typing the text.

    In the meantime I check another bloq and it shows the same behavier.

    Any other ideas?

    Specifically, the change to convert from inserting HTML into the post to a shortcode was done to prepare for Google’s impending conversion from picasaweb to Google+.

    The thread I mentioned above is trying to gather information regarding how many people wish to continue the “insert HTML” option. Please weigh in there, although from the amount of interest this may be changed to a configuration option in the near future.

    This should be resolved in the latest version 2.0.3 which was just released.
