'Preview Changes' not working on main blog page

  • Previews seem to be working fine for other pages and posts. It’s only with the ‘Preview Changes’ for the blog main page. When I try to preview it takes me to the home page.

    The address in the preview address bar is correct for previewing the blog page but somehow it goes to the home page.

    I have not upgraded to 4.2.1 yet until the problems I see here are ironed out a bit more as a badly designed theme upgrade left me siteless for nearly a week 2 weeks ago.

  • It is real important to upgrade to 4.2.1 as it corrects a major security problem.

    Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
