    This *sounds* like a great theme, from the description. And the thumbnail looks good. But the preview is so plain Jane, I just can’t get a feel for it. Am I missing something in how the preview works?

    Yes, the preview really doesn’t do the theme justice. It unfortunately only shows some basic WordPress content. I’d recommend downloading Make and giving it a try on your website. You can see better live previews of it over on the Make theme site. Look for the What can I do with Make? section.
