When I try to update any plugin, I receive this message –

    “Ai1ec_Outdated_Addon_Exception thrown

The add-on All-in-One Event Calendar Extended Views by Time.ly must be updated to at least version 1.1.3 to maintain compatibility with the core calendar.

If you do not see update notices below, ensure you have properly entered your licence keys. Alternatively, navigate to your account to download the latest version of the add-on(s) and update manually. Please post in the forum if you have trouble. We are happy to help.”

I get what that means, but why haven’t I received a plugin update notification for it? I’m on 1.1.2 now. So, um, how do I update it manually? Thanks!

Hi, why did you have to activate the plugin again?

I mean the process should be as follow ( and we know it’s not the best, absolutely )
    1) you update core to 2.2
    2) core 2.2 disables current version of extended views
    3) you manually delete extended views and copy over new file
    4) you re enable extended views.
Core should be not affected by this. Me know that point 3 and for should be better obviously

I reactivated the plugin again because it showed as inactive in my plugins list after removing it via ftp and copying the new version over.

I had to go through a number of my settings to restore things back to normal. It finally seems to have taken. I’ll do a few minor aesthetic tweaks, later.

Extended Views should have looked as not active, but not the core plugin. Did you have to reactivate the core plugin?Did you lose settings? We are trying to get this right, we know it’s a pain for users.

Not the core plugin – I only had to reactivate the add-ons because the core plugin would not see the add-ons after I replaced it with the new files.

    Sorry for any confusion.

I should point out that the original errors I had from trying to update other plugins knocked out Jetpack. Jetpack still isn’t back to normal after re-activating it.
