• Hi There,

We are exporting products as .csv or .xlsx using a customer developed plug-in. When exported, the files contain replaced HTML code rather than the required characters. For example, ” – ” becomes code for an em-dash in the file. Do you think we could use this plug-in to prevent WordPress from performing these character replacements on export?

No, I don’t think this plugin would be useful in that situation. The plugin only works with code that is inside post/page content. I’m obviously not familiar with the implementation details of the plugin that you’re using to export products, but my guess is that Raw HTML would have no effect on the exported files.

Hi Janis – Thank you for your response. We will look for another solution to stop WordPress from substituting characters on export.
