preventing doplicate posts

Hi there,
first of all thank you for a great plugin ??
i wanted to know if there is a way to hide\remove post from the sidebar if the user is already in the post page.

E.G for all of my post page template i have a sidebar with the most recent post on the site.

problem is i have duplicated content as the user also see the post he is currently in on the side bar – user visit a post, in the post sidebar he see a link to the same post….

bottom lie ?? – how can i prevent from a post to be displayed in the “most recent post section” if the user is currently at the same post page? (i want him to see all other recent posts on the sidebar, but not the one he is reading right now)
