  • I have the same question. I don’t want any user profiles to show up in the google search results.

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi @mgiles7 and @swissmiss85,

You can do this by installing SEO plugin e.g Yoast SEO and adding nofollow attribute to the User page.

Im using all in one and I dont have “user” option. I only have “User roles” & *Member Directories” which are selected but still being indexed.

    *User Roles *Member Directories”

    Suggestions? thoughts?

anything? help please, They are still getting indexed and I have tried everything on both plugins. no options work. can I manually add a noindex to the page in code? Help would be really appreciated!!

Yeah, my Yoast SEO does not have a way to no-ndex profiles either. I think I found the solution though. Profiles are built from a shortcode, that is in a page. In the site dashboard go to pages-all pages and go to My Profile you might have renamed this idk, scroll down the page and find UM content restriction. Check the box to restrict access to login in users. Then select the option to redirect to the login page. Now google should not be able to find these pages. Manually de-index them in your webmaster tools or in will probably hurt SEO.
