Hello, this plugin works wonders, it has solved great difficulties for me, however for a long time I am experiencing a small problem. Some urls generated by other plugins are automatically redirecting what makes it difficult for me to configure some things on my site. In the advanced section of your plugin there are some options to prevent automatic redirections in some specific URLs, however I have not been able to make it function. For example, a url ending in this: /?tpedit=1 (this url is generated by another plugin and it is to do a manual editing) automatically redirects me to a publication, which makes it impossible to do this edition. I have tried several things, I did not want to do exactly, I would like some suggestion.

hey lestadt! Thanks for the kind words.

    So, a couple of things.

In the advanced options section under “Files and Folders Ignore Strings – Do Not Process,” this is really for files and not URLs. It won’t work for URLs, as far as I know, which is probably part of the reason you’re having trouble.

Also, if a URL is handled by a different plugin, then there may not be anything the ‘404 solution’ plugin can do about it. If anything would work though, it would be creating a manual redirect with the exact URL that you want (for example “/?tpedit=1”) and setting it to go to a specific page.

    How’s that sound?

Again though, if that’s a valid URL then the ‘404 solution’ plugin probably won’t do anything. It’s really only “activated” when a page or post doesn’t exist – when a URL would normally return a 404.

    Let me know.

Hello, sorry for the delay in responding, I was looking for the solution and the cause of the problem. After several tests i could find the cause, a function of the Yoast Seo plugin came into conflict with your plugin. This was the function: Redirect ugly URLs to clean permalinks, when this function was active and your plugin was also active it caused the problem described. I reported this situation to the Yoast Seo team, they updated their complement and everything is resolved. Thanks again for your prompt reaction.
