Prevent Referrer Block List from Inserting Visitor/Views data

At the moment, you can’t. I’ve put in a feature request to allow custom PHP filter to stop Koko from loading completely.

Our referrer blocklist is downloaded periodically from this community maintained project. If you have domains to add to the list, please submit them as a pull request there so everyone can benefit from it. That would be really cool. ??

If you really want to add your own custom domains to be ignored, I would advise to use the koko_analytics_referrer_blocklist filter hook so that future updates do not overwrite your custom blocklist. Our code snippets directory contains an example snippet: adding custom domains to referrer blocklist.

Now for your actual question, you could probably use the koko_analytics_load_tracking_script filter hook to do this yourself but to be honest, it sounds like something the plugin should do. Right now we are only ignoring the referrer part from that request, but probably the entire request should be ignored, right?

If you want to ignore the entire request, you can maybe look at this filter:

But instead of

use something like

$myblockllist = array('url1','url2','url3');
if(in_array($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'], $myblockllist))
...

You mean I have to change this line?

Hey @arfanzr77,

If you update Koko Analytics to version 1.0.35 then the entire request is ignored in case the referrer URL is on the blocklist. No need for any custom code snippets.
