Prevent product Qty restrictions from applying to composite product options

Hi There,
We have your plugin setup with another plugin that controls the qty of simple product bottles that can purchased. e.g. all Wine bottle products can only be purchased in qty’s of 6 (so 6, 12, 18, etc).
To enforce this we used another plugin where we set min qty.
Until a recent update we were successfully able to override/turn off the qty restriction in the composite product (which is a mixed case of 12- consisting of the other simple products).
Is there a way we can again override those successfully? Or another way we should be approaching this?
