    Hi,
Thanks for your day-by-day hard work on Yoast plugin.

Help me please, how I can prevent post-sitemap partition or hide empty post-sitemaps from main sitemap?
I have 3 post sitemaps and 2 from them without posts, and I want to hide them

    Thanks

    Hello @alexobi,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We see that the first two post sitemaps are empty – it has the sitemap header but contains no links. The most common reason for an empty sitemap is no matched data. We recommend adding appropriate rewrite rules on the NGINX webserver to resolve this. You may find this helpful – https://yoast.com/help/xml-sitemaps-nginx/. If you do not know how to proceed, your web hosting provider may be of help.

    Hi @maybellyne ,
interesting idea, but almost impossible for me (I will wait for resolution for years)).
Maybe there is a way to do it in functions.php or wp-config files?

    Thanks

@alexobi Another reason for the empty sitemaps is if you changed the number of the entries using wpseo_sitemap_entries_per_page. Can you please try temporarily disabling the sitemap feature and then re-enabling it to force a refresh of the sitemaps?

To do so please perform the following steps:

? ?In WordPress go to SEO>General>Features
? ?For ‘XML Sitemaps’ Toggle the switch to ‘Disabled.’
      ? ??Click ‘Save Changes.’
? ?Toggle the switch back to ‘Enabled.’
      ? ?Click ‘Save Changes.’

?We also have a guide on how to enable/disable XML Sitemaps here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/enable-xml-sitemaps-in-the-wordpress-seo-plugin/
