    Hey,

on my production server I keep close tabs on php error logs. Wordfence keeps outputting this one:

PHP Warning: filemtime(): stat failed for …/public_html/wp-content/themes/mytheme/.ea-php-cli.cache in …/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfActivityReport.php on line 672

That file seems to be a symlink from my hosting provider for selecting PHP versions or some configuration like that. Could this PHP Warning be prevented? If it’s a problem it should be reported in the dashboard, not the error logs.

    Best,
    Johannes

  • That just means that we can’t see when the file changed, likely because it’s a symlink as you mentioned and thus can’t be checked for adding to the recently modified files list that is included in the activity report we send you. If you are aware of what the file is the warning can be ignored. I don’t believe there is a workaround to skip the error though.
