I read a lot of threads on that forum about the need to keep the original translated text when editing the original.

I understand that, when we use the “edit page” feature to edit the page, it’s technically difficult to make the link between the original, and the previous “translated”.

But, if your plugin allow to translate the original in the translate window, will it be possible for you to add that feature?

Actually, the original is grayed and readonly.

But, if we can edit the original there, it will be easy to keep the link, and directly edit the translated at the sametime, without losing everything.

Is it a feature you may add eventually?

    Hi,

Unfortunately that won’t work either. The original is supposed to be changed in the actual content, in the post/page editing section. There’s no proper way for us to detect that particular string and change it. Nor should we. Also, some strings are not part of the_content, they are custom fields, part of widgets, etc.
