    Hi,

found an interesting issue under Firewall | Prevent Hotlinks

    What happened?
    1. Uploaded images to my BP site with rtMedia Gallery plugin. All uploaded images generate a link similar www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/rtMedia/useres/1/2016/09/myimage.jpg

    2. My CDN use the same structure and generates for each image a link similiar www.mycdn.com/wp-content/uploads/rtMedia/useres/1/2016/09/myimage.jpg

All images I want to use in a different network with direct url of my CDN prevents from importing or viewing. Works fine. Unfortunately with link like mentioned under point 1 not.

Second issue I found is that all cover images of profiles and groups of my site won`t seen anymore because they use link of the CDN.

For me it makes no sence, am I right?

Not all of the firewall rules will be compatible with every installation due to the many unique server configurations.
If you find that one or more of the firewall rules is not working on your system, you can leave that rule disabled or you can insert your own custom rule using the “Custom Rules” features.

    Hi,
thanks for your reply. So I use a NGINX instead of Apache server. If I understand you right it depends on the basic server I use. Read under “Custom Rules” the “NOTE: This feature can only used if your site is hosted in an apache or similar web server.”

Question: Is it possible to share posts with other networks in an environment of hotlinks?
