I have connected my updraft account in another online storage website so that is where the backups are stored. However, updraft still creates logs in my CPanel under wp-content/updraft. This causes problem with my hosting as it is against their terms of service. Is there any way to change the location of logs for updraft?

    Hi,

I’m afraid that there is not currently a method to prevent UpdraftPlus from creating the log files.
The UpdraftPlus backup folder (where logs and backup files are generated) can be changed in the Advanced Settings. However, this location still has to be in the WordPress structure.

When UpdraftPlus creates a backup, it must first create the backup files before they can be uploaded to remote storage. After upload, the backup files are deleted from the local folder.

The terms of service are unlikely to forbid storing log files on the site, but rather forbid backup processes (due to the relatively large overhead that backup processes generate). As such, it is possible that you are not allowed to run any backups via plugins. I would recommend double-checking with your hosts

Thank you. I have clarified this with my hosting and they confirmed that they allow backups from third-party plugins and that they have noted this for my account.
