    Hi there,

Just wanted to know how can I prevent the download stats when migrating the site from staging environment to live.

For example: We have created a staging of the live site, made some changes to the staging site for a week period, and now we wanted to copy the staging to the live.

While we copy the staging to live, by doing so the download stats for a week will be lost.

    How can we prevent this?

Do I copy all the database files except download_log?

    or

Do I copy all the database files except dlm_order, dlm_order_customer,dlm_order_item,dlm_order_transaction,dlm_session,download_log?

    Hello @seasonwp ,

The download stats are also included in the postmeta table, so if you have done any changes to posts/pages or other similar that could have changed the postmeta table in the staging server and you need to copy that table also, the download stats ( not download logs ) from the previous week will be lost.

If you haven’t done any modifications that could have updated the postmeta table then you could omit, besides the custom Download Monitor tables ( dlm_order, dlm_order_customer,dlm_order_item,dlm_order_transaction,dlm_session,download_log… ), the postmeta table also. Do this ONLY IF you HAVEN’T updated the postmeta table and you have backed up your database.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards!
    Razvan
