    Hi @freddan,

Do you have a link for us to check this popup? A popup’s overlay generally prevents any movement in the background. Do you have it disabled?

We’ll wait for your response. ??

Thanks a lot @kimmyx for you kind reply.

Playing a little on JS I was able to fix this issue. Don’t know why but Chromium based browsers were not considering the function of preventing body scrolling when a modal popup was opened.

Another thing I am struggling is on how to close the modal by clicking on the overlay? Is there any chance to do that?

Thanks a lot for all the help you could give to me.

    Hi @freddan,

You’re welcome! We’re not sure what issue you’re experiencing with the scrolling. It’d be great if we could see a video or link where we can check on the popup. You can send us a message here if you wish to share it privately. ??

Yes! In your popup settings, go to Close > Alternate Methods > Check “Click Overlay to Close“. See here: https://share.zight.com/o0uOyegL

    Hope that helps! ??

    Hi @kimmyx

    You’re great!!
Ups, I haven’t seen the Alternate Methods options before.. ??

    Now everything works smoothly!

Concerning the scrolling of the body, however, I prefer to send you a video in private, but I managed to solve it by adding a jQuery script made by me.

I send you the video with the error that maybe I’m not paying enough attention on the various options to set even if, as already wrote, I already tried to follow the suggestions on this link but unfortunately without success:

    Hi @freddan,

    You’re welcome! ??

We received your email with the video. We’re glad you were able to solve it with your custom script, but just in case you want to test the settings, my colleague responded with the following solution:

Go to your Popup Settings > Display > Position > Check “Fixed Postioning” option.

Feel free to respond to the ticket or to this thread if you have additional questions. ??

    Hi @kimmyx,
Thanks a lot for your kind reply! ??

Following your suggestion I set “Fixed Positioning” but unfortunately the main page body (below the overlay) is still continuing scrolling on mouse hover.. the same way shown in the video I sent you ??

The script I developed is currently a little too restrictive because it stop the body scrolling on the main page body, yes, but also on the modal content..

I am still looking for a suitable solution that will make everything work smoothly, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated ??

Thanks a lot in advance for all your help

    Hi @freddan,

I forgot to add that you also need to enable Overlay (Disable Overlay should be unchecked) for your popup.

    See here: https://share.zight.com/xQuQdQQO

If you want to remove the overlay background, you can set the opacity of the overlay to 0 in Popup Maker > choose the theme you were using on your popup > Overlay > Set Opacity to 0%.

    See here: https://share.zight.com/5zuvWvKZ

Let us know if this solves it! ??

    Hi @kimmyx,

Yes sure, the Overlay setting was already enabled.
To remove any shadow of doubt I hided the script I developed, disabled/enabled the Overlay and saved it all.
After refreshing the webpage it behave the same way as before ??

Don’t know what is happening with me but I cannot solve it.
Thanks a lot for your effort and for helping me
