• When I upload an image to the upload folder, WordPress auto-generates about 4-5 different sizes of the image.

    If my blog uses lots of images I very soon have huge disk space issues. All I want to do is the upload the one pre-sized jpg, not 5 variations of it.

    It has suggested the answer is in a php file…but no one can tell me which php file, or what to do with it if I find it! Thank you!

  • WP actually just creates 3 images to the dimensions specified in Settings->Media. Try increasing the sizes for each of the three images in Settings->Media so that they exceed the largest image that you are likely to upload.
