Hi there, big fan of this plugin; however have been running into a few issues with using it at work. Hoping you have a fix, or can direct me where to make the required changes.

Our company deals with both English & French speaking clients, and so some document file names are in French with accents; and need to keep these accents.
As well, the file names are all being converted to lower case. As these documents are linked to in other documents, we’re hoping to be able to keep the proper format of these file names.

Lastly, as @kamurphy65 mentioned in a previous thread; the file name is showing in the front end under the document title. This is something that we would like to remove.

Would this be something we can do?

    Cheers,
    Matt

To answer you last question you can change the fronted to display the filename only by going to mDocs>Options>Settings>Configuration Settings>UI Options>Hide Name

The lowercase problem is a bug and will be fixed on the next version update.

I’m currently looking into the accent problem and will get back to you when I have a solution.

Hi thank you for the reply.

The hiding of the names does help, I’ll double check as I thought I tried that setting, but will try again.

As per the formatting of the file name; I found a fix (until next update):
In the mdocs-batch-upload.php, line 59, there’s a method being used “mdocs_filenames_to_latin”; if this is commented, and filename is assigned $file. Issue is fixed both with lowercase, and stripping of french accents. (My issue was with batch upload, apologies if I didn’t specify).

    Hope this helps..

Although, in moving file from one folder to another within Memphis Docs, it rips out any accented letters altogether.
