Select in Table IV-C3: Thumbnail type: ‘Masonry style rows’.

If you really want them square, select in Table I-C2: Thumbnail aspect: —square clipped—, and run the proc in Table VIII-A4.

WOW you do respond swiftly, thank you!!

I have implemented IV-C3 but it doesn’t seem to display any differently. I tried switching back to the wppa lightbox but that didn’t work either.

You can see my site here: https://www.globexposure.net/wales/?p=5

    What would you suggest?

It seems we are talking about different things.

You have set lightbox on album cover images ( Table VI-B1 )

Just hover over the photos near the text Summer 2014 and winter 2015, you will see a magnifier, and if you click you get the non-wppa lightbox.

If you click on the album title ( Summer 2014 or Winter 2015 ) you get the masonry style thumbnails.

You also set ligtbox on thumbnails, but that does not work, you get the plain image.

Why don’t you use the wppa embedded lightbox?

    Thread Starter daniish

    (@daniish)

OK thanks for clearing that up. The built in wppa lightbox does not seem to display properly on my site – the start and stop text is not aligned and the masonry layout loads the images badly.

On balance i just prefer the look of the prettyPhoto lightbox and particularly it’s inclusion of an image carousel in the lightbox itself, which makes slecting album pictures easier.

How can i turn off the hyperlink that is on the album name?

    – so the lightbox only loads when clicking on the album cover.

    loads the images badly.

What do you mean? You can set the spacing in Table I-C5 and the size in Table I-C1. You need to set the size approx 2 times as what you want.

How can i turn off the hyperlink that is on the album name?

On the Album Admin -> Edit album information screen: set Link type to ‘no link at all’. This is on album base.

    – so the lightbox only loads when clicking on the album cover.

That depends on your settings in Table VI. Select ‘lightbox’ wherever you want it to apply.

    Thank you that’s really helpful.

With regards to the images loading badly:
    – On the lightbox the start and stop buttons are not aligned properly…start sits a bit lower and overlaps the image which looks odd.
    – When using the masonry layout some of the images load outside of the sidebar, overlapping the top and edges – which doesn’t look good.
    – the masonry layout displays some images on top of each other and in general it does not load properly…seems to keep readjusting thumbnail sizes

Aside from the built in lightbox, i love this plugin so much. Your lightning quick and helpful support is the best of all.

    Thanks again ??

If you make it live, i can help you. It looks like your settings are not correct or your shortcodes are incomplete with respect to sizes.
You may also have some css incompatibilities that i may be able to correct, if you just show me…

What do you mean by “make it live”?

    Plugin Author Jacob N. Breetvelt

    (@opajaap)

You complain about wrong layout of masonry style thumbnails, but when i visit your site i saw default style thumbnails. Currently no thumbnails at all. This way i can not investigate on what goes wrong to your masonry style thumbnails.

    Thread Starter daniish

    (@daniish)

OK i have now made it live on the album: Summer 2014
that you can see here: https://www.globexposure.net/wales/?p=5

When the thumbnails are set at 100px they display very well in the masonry style, however, the images are too small to see them properly.

I increased the thumbnail size to 200px and this when the aforementioned problems occur.

Just to confirm, i regenerated the thumbnails using option VIII-A4.

    Hope you can help

    Try masonry style columns

    Thread Starter daniish

    (@daniish)

    That works properly.

When i click on the thumbnails, how do i make them load in the prettyPhoto lightbox?
