Pretty Permalinks

  • I’m having a bit of trouble with getting the ‘Permalinks’ functionality to work for me. I am told i have the modRewrite set up on my server. I have tried to copy and past the code provided by WordPress into my .htaccess file. Unfortunately I end up getting 500 Internal Server Error message for any page I try to navigate to after I upload the new .htaccess file. Anyone point me in the right direction. I have read thru the documentation but I’m not sure I know which direction to take. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    can you provide the rule here? Also, is the wordpress in the root directory or any subdomain?

    .htaccess file must be in the same folder as that of wordpress…
