Pretty Link redirects to attachment URLs

    Pretty Link has started redirecting EVERY link that has the same name as an attachment to the attachment URL. And because Yoast is redirecting attachment URLs to parent pages, my links send people back to the same page they’re on.

    Example: Last year I uploaded an image called: asdf.jpg. Today I create a Pretty Link called with the slug “asdf”. Anybody who clicks that link gets sent to the page with asdf.jpg embedded on it. This only happens to URLs with an attachment in the database of the same name.

    Any ideas what’s going on? Thank you in advance!

    Does the user still land on the attachment page even with the Yoast setting disabled?

    If so, maybe try changing your redirect action to “init” instead of “template_redirect”.
