    Hi,
On Pretty Link Lite or Pro version can the plugin create an automatic page for the link to go through that would aid in reducing bounce rate?

For example – if a Pretty Link was clicked it would then go via a page named /leave and the /leave which would help a little in bounce? I know this question has been asked before. I wonder if it’s now a feature in the new version?

    Thanks

    Hi Vincent,

Using our Meta Refresh or Javascript redirects in the Pro version would do something similar as they render an actual (blank) HTML output page temporarily from your site before the user is redirected. So the pretty link URL itself would be the second page they’d hit before being redirected.

I’m honestly not sure if that would help with bounce rates, but it might be better than a server-side 30x redirect anyways.

    Hi Carpauj,

    Thanks for your response.

In that case, can the Output page be customised?

    Hi Vincent,

The redirect still happens within a second so the user never actually sees the output of that page. It’s maybe slightly slower than a 30x redirect, but still very fast.

You can set a delay in seconds before redirecting, but in that case the user would see a blank white page for a couple seconds before the redirect happened.
