Pretty decent for a free plugin
-
A bit of background would be useful. I have licensed several copies of the now-discontinued “Dine and Drink” theme for WordPress. That theme had probably the best free bundled menu builder I have seen. When that theme was withdrawn from the market, I tried to find a replacement plugin for menus to use on my new restaurant websites. The Five Star Restaurant Menu plugin offered the closest feature set to the builder I loved. It’s missing a few features I’d like (and they may be available on the PRO version – I just haven’t checked), such as pricing for multiple size items, and icons for things like spicy, vegetarian, halal, etc. But, for a free plugin, I really can’t complain.
Documentation is a bit light when it comes to CSS customization, but if you are proficient at using the debug tools available through your browser, you should be able to overcome those shortcomings.
