Pretend Internal Auction

There is no point system right now. Its interesting to know about your use-case. Can you please elaborate on why you want this & how you want it?

Ont thing more, if you want to pretend money, you can use this plugin. It just sends out email (with paypal link) when somebody wins it. You cman very well ignore the paypal link or may even remove it from the plugin.

Let me know if you wanna know how to remove it.

The situation is for our firm. To motivate employees the firm gives people points for doing different things.
Provide a training course: 10000 points
Pass a certification: 15000 points
At your annual anniversary: 20000 points
And so on….

Then during certain times of the year the firm posts up items for auction which employees can bid on.

In addition the buy now option could be used as a “store” to use the points to buy firm logo shirts, cups, back packs and stuff at a fixed point value.

We can discuss further if you think there is a way to add a point system.

Point system seems to be out of plugin’s purview. This plugin is not designed to handle your requirement. I also think that just by merely removing paypal link from final email wont serve you any good.

It would be best to search for a plugin which can handle this. Sorry to disappoint.

Is there any interest in building a custom solution around this?

@joe7670 – did you manage to find an auction plugin to do what you are after? I am after the same thing, being able to bid on auctions with points earned not $s.
