PressBackup Permissions denied.

  • Im a php novice. Any simple solution to this problem which I encounter when I want to upload the backup file.

    “Warning: permissions denied to write on themes, uploads, plugins folder/s, change the permissions if you want to be able to restore a backup”

    a followup question. Can I do a manual backup on the plugins folder?

    Say tomorrow I do a backup on Database/themes

    And then I manually through FTP download the entire plugins folder on my deskop.

    and on tuesday the site crashes, I upload the database/theme file and it all looks great except no plugins are there (which would mess with me now since I use a few) could I just go into the ftp, and add my pluginsfodler I have on my deskop right into the pluginsfolder (the files that is) on the ftp? making it look exactly like it did before the crash?

    wp-admin
    wp-content
    wp-includes

    For a complete backup of Everything? and then just upload them again and overwrite everything if something Really bad happends?

    WTF now that I finally had to use the program it said “Important: Wrong file type”
    how can it be the wrong filetype when its the .rar its always been?!?!?I did an backup today and after the backup I updated the plugin, it is because of that? fuck.

    Yes, thats exactly what PressBackup does

    Yes, but you need to do it manually via FTP. PressBackup don’t create a copy of wp-admin or wp-includes.

    Pressbackup create zip not rar files, so, you really are uploading a backup made by pressbackup?
