Press, file manager, login

I have a question that I hope someone will be able to help me with!

I have a client that needs a “press” section on their website. Basically they want to give magazines their own personal logins, which they can use to login to a specific part of the website. There they will find a simple filemanager, where they can download campagin-images and other materials.

I’ve found “WordPress Download Manager” which will do a large part of it, except that everyone can see the filemanager – it doesn’t ask for a password until after the person has clicked “download”. Futhermore we want to be able to delete logins, if they don’t want a specific person access to this section of the website anymore…
It would also be nice to see who has logged in or even better, who has downloaded what.

Is there a plugin that will do this for me? Or is there a way to make “wordpress download manager” do the job?
