Preserve Open Folders on Reload

    Hi,

    I’m not sure wheather it’s a bug or an intention, but after reloading (or reopening) the Media page the previously opened folders are all closed again. It’s a bit annoying to open them again.

    I’m not sure if it’s the case of the page or modal, but sometimes it seems, that the only open folder is the one with selected image. Sometimes not.

    So I’m not sure how all this should work. For me it would be ideal if all the settings (selected folder, open/closed folders, etc) were preserved for the next visit. With one exception – when the image is already selected, I should be directed straight to the folder, where the selected image lives.

    Hi there,

    Thanks so much for reporting this issue. HappyFiles actually saves the state of your open folders.

    Might be a conflict with another plugin. Can you try disabling all plugins except HappyFiles to see if the issue still exists. If it does, it’d be great if you could get in touch with me via email ([email protected]) so I can help you fix this issue.

    Also, which version of HappyFiles are you using? If you are not on version 1.3.1 I’d recommend you update to the latest version first. Maybe that already helps fix the issue.

    I’m sorry for the delay, I probably didn’t turn on the notification checkbox, so I’ve missed your replies.

    I’m using the last version 1.4 and the problem is still there. I don’t have much time to investigate it more, but it seems that the only folder which stays open is the active folder.

    Use case:

    1. Lets say I have this folder structure:
    – Folder 1
    — Subfolder 1.1
    — Subfolder 1.2
    -Folder 2
    — Subfolder 2.1
    — Subfolder 2.2
    – Folder 3
    — Subfolder 3.1
    — Subfolder 3.2

    2. All the folders are open and folder 2 is the active one.

    3. I refresh the page or change the view from thumbnails to list.

    4. Folder 2 is still open, but the other 2 are closed now.

    Tested on a test site with a lots of plugins, but no errors in the console etc. I’ll do some more testing on a clean site, but it will take me some time to get into it.
