    Hi!

I’m using events manager and I allow users to register to events without registering into my website, so this is the form they see when they go to an event page: https://www.materiabcn.com/activitats-i-rutes/cicle-1714-barcelona-captiva-2/

The first field on the form is for the name, but I need people to fill also it’s surname, so I updated my translation. I think that maybe this could be a good improvement for the plugin, I’m sure that a lot of people would like it. I can provide you translation for catalan and spanish.

Anyway, in case that you don’t consider updating the translation, I would like to have a way of preserving the translation every time the plugin is updated. Now, after each update, I have to overwrite the files manually via ftp.

I’ve been reading about some plugins that search for translations first on wp-content/languages/themes than the plugin folder (something similar to child themes), so this could be a way to preserve my translation. Could you please make this improvement on the plugin?

    Thank you!

  • Hi,

Thanks for your offer to “donate” some translations. We actually have translation project for EM here:

    https://translate.netweblogic.com/projects/events-manager/

Translations added there will be included in future versions of the plugin and pushed out to all users.

if you’d like to submit your translations, send them over to support at wp-events-plugin.com and I can udpate them.

we can also add you to a list of validators on the translation site above so you can directly add and approve translations there.

i was tempted to do that a while back but I think the reason I held back on that is because it messed up plugins that switched languages… will revisit that.

    Hi!

caimin_nwl, I’ve just suggested those translations I said and also I had a look at some other translations and I’ve found some mistakes I’ve corrected.

Marcus, If you want to add me to the validators list it would be fine. I’ll help you as much as I can with my languages, catalan and spanish. I’m just sending an email to translations (at) netweblogic.com as said on caimin’s link!

    Thank you!

    Excellent, thanks very much ??
