hi, thanks for the greeeeat plugin!

i want to know if is possible to create a frontend post form with preselected the current category.

for example a user browse posts from category “test_category”. So, the current category is “test_category”. When a user clicks on a button going to frontend post form to insert a post…..in this form i want the category to be preselected as “test_category”.

    Is it possible?

    thanks for the support

  • Hello @papamak,

Yes, it will be possible to pre-select the category of a post form.

Please navigate through WP-admin > WPUF > Post Form > Settings > Post Form Settings and then you can set category of the post from there.

So whenever a user submits posts through this form, the category will be the selected one for the submitted post.

thanks for the answer but i want something more difficult.
I want to be preselected the current category not a specific preselected category.

    Hello @papamak,

I am not sure that I am clear with your query.

How do you want the category to get selected by the form unless the category is selected by admin before the form is available to the user for post-submission? Please explain a little more.

Hi, thanks for the reply and I apologize for the delay in replying.
I will try to describe in another way what I want. For example, we see a post in the “sports” category and we have a button that when we press it we have an entry form for a new post (from the front-end), in this new post I want the “sports” category to be defaulted.
I hope you understand what I want ….
