    Hi there,

I have a couple questions for you which hopefully you can help me with:

    1. Where are the 7 server locations of the CDNs on the free version (ie which are in the EU)?
    2. Can you use lazy load without the CDN functionality? I did use CloudFlare previously, but stopped using them because one day all the images were gone on my site. It was quite worrying, as we are an ecommerce site. So not wanting a repeat of that…

    Thanks for the advice.

    Hello @dav74,

Thanks you for your questions. I will try to answer here to them:

    1) New York, San Francisco, London, Singapore, Bangalore, Amsterdam, Frankfurt. Currently 3 in Europe.
    2) I’m not sure what do you mean by using Optimole without CDN. The processing is done in the cloud and cached by the CDN. One without another is not possible right now.

Let me know if this makes sense for you.

    Hi @optimole

    Thanks for your reply.
The reason I asked is that the page I tested is slower when using your plugin, even though it is loading less (less MB). Our hosting is located in Amsterdam, so it is strange that it is loading slower, if you also have a server in Amsterdam as part of your free version. Any idea why?

    Thanks

    Hello,

That’s strange, you might see a slower response first time when the images are optimized, but the subsequent request should work pretty fast.

    I will check this out.

Well I checked a second time and the page load speed was about the same with and without your plugin loaded. You would however think it would load quicker with your plugin, as we are loading about 500kb less on that specific page with your plugin published. However your plugin does add extra http requests, which is adding to page load speed. I will check this too and see if I can understand it more ??
