I have a dev site that I am now going to hand over to someone else.

Besides creating a new admin account with an appropriate password, dumping the database, the wp_content folder… I’m wondering what else I need to do.

Mainly, within WordPress, under the general settings…. I have the dev install on one of my servers which of course I need to change..so what can I put in the settings/general/ site address and wordpress address boxes? Can I just put their url and let the next WordPress person change that appropriately?

Just want to make a clean hand off. The site is not done and someone else will probably create a new theme and go from there so I just to make sure someone will:
    1. Do a fresh install of WP
    2. replace the wp_content folder
    3. import the sql dump
    Go on their merry way.

Is there anything else I should do in regards to passwords/urls?

    thanks

oh…one note…. after dumping the sql database, I need to remove the actual user/password for the database in the wp-config, right? Because a new person will just import that sql file into their own database using their own db url/user/password?

To be complete, everything I guessed was right. So if you happen upon this question, just dump the sql, dupe the wp_content and that’s all you need after a fresh install of WP.
