Premium version expired; cannot update basic version without renewing add-ons?
-
Hello,
Is it possible to update the free Updraft Plus Backup and Restoration plugin without renewing the add-ons? My detailed situation is described below.
I previously purchased UpdraftPlus Premium, and it has since expired. I do not wish to renew my purchase of the premium version, since I no longer have a need for the add-ons. However, I would like to update the free Updraft Plus Backup and Restoration plugin.
When I click “Check for updates” in my WP admin dashboard, I receive a message saying “plugin is up to date,” but I can see from the version number that I’m running an older version. I also see the message “Your paid access … has expired. You will no longer receive updates to UpdraftPlus.”
I considered deleting the basic Backup and Restoration plugin and then reinstalling the newest version, but it took some time for me to get the settings right when I initially installed the plugin, and I do not want to break it now that it’s working.
If I cannot restore the free functionality without renewing the paid version, then must I renew the full UpdraftPlus Premium (including all add-ons) again, or would it be enough to simply purchase a single add-on?
Thank you for your help.
