Hey everyone. I’m really new here.

I recently got Memberpress for my website. I run a public podcast but wanted to create a membership area where I could host a private podcast.

I want my members to have access based on their subscription and I was under the impression that I could do this with the Powerpress / Memberpress combo.

I’ve create a premium RSS feed.

But whenever I try to manually add the feed to iTunes or any podcast app… it doesn’t recognise the RSS feed.

I may be doing something stupid here… but the feed wouldn’t validate when it was premium… so I removed the premium check box… listed the Feed with Blubrry… and then I made it private again.

But it just can’t be accessed. Itunes keeps saying the password is invalid and various other podcast apps don’t even find the feed.

    Thanks

    Dan

You can’t submit premium/protected feeds to syndication points like Apple Podcasts. Feeds submitted to platforms like that must be completely publicly available.

You can still give paid subscribers the direct link to your protected/premium feed(s), and they can subscribe directly. Once they do, they’ll prompted to enter their credentials to verify the subscription.

But you can’t have these types of feeds listed within public directories. The directories themselves don’t support it.
