hi there, first off i would like to share my thanks and gratitude for u to create this awesome plugin

this is a game changer, million thanks!!!!!!! <3

secondly, i wanna ask should i enable the preloader? does it even matter? the issue it 9/10 of my sites it says preloader doesnt work

further, i noticed that if i am using cloudways, it has varnish cache and if i enabled the varnish case support, it says error:
    https://prnt.sc/I1B3azM2EV92

    it says curl error

    3) i noticed that running ur plugin with cloudways might require in cloudways dashboard settings to purge server level varnish cache before the “test cache” can work , do u noticed the same or its my problem?

    4) may i ask do u recommend to run this plugin together with a page cache plugin like autopmize?

    Hi @hkpresent,

Standing in 2023, there is no point enabling the preloader as it will use your server resouce to send cURL requests to the URLs. But now CF systems are sophisticated enough to only cache items when the request is coming from actual browser. A lot of the times cURL requests doesn’t get cached. and if they get cached, but does not receive any further requests then Cloudflare will remove the item from cache. So, better to disable preloader and enable Smart tiered Cache inside your CF dashbvoard > Caching > tiered cache section.

i noticed that if i am using cloudways, it has varnish cache and if i enabled the varnish case support, it says error:
    https://prnt.sc/I1B3azM2EV92

You need to contact Cloudways to ask them which Port number they are using for varnish and if it is running under localhost or not. Then you need to specify that in the plugin.

But as we are caching things in the CDN, you really don’t need Varnish. But it’s your choice.

may i ask do u recommend to run this plugin together with a page cache plugin like autopmize?

You can use autoptimize, but if you can use Perfmatters instead, as it will give you a ton of option to optimize your website outside of Page caching.

    thanks

i seems to always see the error “Page caching is working for static page but seems not working for dynamic pages.”
when i use the cache testing

i already went to chrome inspect to test but also not cache hit

is there any reason for this?

    Hi @hkpresent,
Without looking at your website, it’s hard to say what’s going on. Please share your website URL.

Hi @isaumya, how can I contact you if I have certain questions, like you pointed out that we should not turn the preloader on, but in the tutorial video, it was turned on. I have few small questions regarding the plugin, how can I reach you guys.

It is not exactly a support question, but here it is a gist of it. I am using wp rocket on one website and this plugin on the second. If we have wp rocket on some site, will using the plugin enhance the experience?

Also, how can we start varnish cache which is given inside the plugin, will it enhance the site loading time, my home page has high loading time I guess. The plugin is live on the site.

    Hi @raghav-gakhar,

If you have any questions, please open a new support thread here.

Talking about the tutorial video, it was recorded a few years back. I told you my personal take on the Preloader but you still like to use it, use it. I don’t use it as the amount of server resource it uses to do it’s job just doe4sn’t make sense in the current time. That’s my personal take on it. But you can use it if you like to use it.

I am using wp rocket on one website and this plugin on the second. If we have wp rocket on some site, will using the plugin enhance the experience?

I personally prefer not to use WP Rocket with this plugin as WP Rocket is mainly a page caching plugin. So, to use WP Rocket with this plugin you need to disable all the page caching functionality of WP Rocket and use it only for static file optimization. For that I personally prefer to use Perfmatters as it is a pure optimization plugin with no page caching component to use.

But if you like to use WP Rocket with this plugin:

    1. Check this guide: https://gist.github.com/isaumya/d5990b036e0ed2ac55631995f862f4b8
    2. Inside this plugin settings > third party section > WP Rocket section > Only enable the RUCSS option and uncheck the rest.
    3. This is the best way to use WP Rocket with this plugin

Also, how can we start varnish cache which is given inside the plugin, will it enhance the site loading time, my home page has high loading time I guess. The plugin is live on the site.

When you are already caching your webpages at the CDN level, there is really no point using Varnish, it will only create compatibility issues. That option is there for just in case, but generally not needed.

Also please open your own thread for support.
