Preload setting not working?
-
Hello, I have a newly built website with just about 3 pages.
I activated the “preload” setting for all content (homepage, pages, etc.)(everything is checked except “restart after completed”, I have set it on “8 pages per minute”.
I waited 4 days without visiting my own website just for testing, and I thought that the plugin would have created the cache for my 3 pages but it turns out it did not happen. When I visited those 3 pages manually, the plugin message at the end of the source code indicated that the cache version had been create this day, during my manual visit.
So the automatic preload feature seems to be broken, or am I doing something wrong?
What I don’t understand is, on the following page, preload, which is said to be generating cache page automatically and running automatically every 5 minutes :
https://www.wpfastestcache.com/features/preload-settings/Is also said to be triggered by visits on the website on this page:
https://www.wpfastestcache.com/features/manually-preload-with-cron-jobs/So, is preload working on it own even on an inactive website (no visitor)? Will it cache all content automatically even in this case? Or does it need visitors to cache?
Thank you!
UPDATE : I had automatic update deactivated in my wp-config file, so I removed the line and I deleted all cache, and plugin managed to cache all the pages automatically this times in about 2 minutes. I don’t know if the deactivation of automatic update triggered the issue in wp fastest cache but at least, now it works!
