Preload may have stalled.

  • We keep getting notices from WP Super Cache saying:

    Preload may have stalled.

    Then underneath it says:

    Preload has been restarted.

    Can anyone explain what this means and why it happens?

  • It’s exactly what it means. The preload stalled – maybe PHP timed out while fetching pages and the next job wasn’t scheduled. There’s code in the plugin to detect this and it restarts the preload where it left off.
