• As far as i can say getting a great mark on gtmetrix, pingdom, etc… doesn’t always mean that you have a fast website. I’ve been searching and testing many different methods on page load times! In my occassion i found out that a speed optimization plugin might have a negative impact. It all depends on the theme and the plugins you are using. It is not an easy task to see if a bad coded plugin conlicts with super cache or not. It needs a lot of trial and error.

WP supercache PRELOAD had the greatest impact on my site so far. I have a cdn service for first time visitors but my page to page navigation was really slow. Preload did it’s excellent job! All my pages are currently loading superfast. My site (about 71 pages- 6.9MBs) preloads in about 5 minutes. This was not the case in the beginning when i firstly tried Preload. It took about 20 minutes to preload some of my pages (not all) and it stopped before it could preload the whole site! After deactivating all my plugins and deleting some of them that where supposed to optimize my site, i left only those that i really needed. Everything is running fast from now on. It should be noted that i am on a shared server.
One feature that would be great is that Preload should not arase all the cache everytime a comment is posted or a page updated. It should arase the cache of the current page only, where the comment is posted! Please kindly tell me if this is possible! Thanks in advance!

Make sure to uncheck (if checked) the option “Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated” and check the option (if unchecked), “Only refresh current page when comments made”.
