    Hi,

    Is there a way to change the pool it isn’t predicting scores (numbers) but predicting results (words). For example if doing a boxing match could you have an options for Fighter A as KO, submission, decision and the same for fighter B.

    On top of that it would be great if when you select an option for one fighter the other fighter is automatically set as lose.

    An alternative to this could be having one drop down box per game/fight and having Fighter A by KO, Fighter B by KO, Fighter A by decision, etc etc. Don’t know if this is realistic…

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I once did a quick test with the dropdown method (one per match) as a proof of concept. It worked pretty well for my case, but my case was very simple (only the options team A wins and team B wins). What I did – if I remember correctly – was change the inputs to a dropdown and change the saving method to act upon the selected value. In case “team A wins” was chosen, I inserted home_score 1 and away_score 0 in the prediction table (and the other way around for the other option). In the admin I did the same change.

    That way the underlying ranking and score calculation mechanism could remain the same; correct prediction would get the full points. What I did not check, was the statistics/charts functionality. That may also require some changes because some options are no longer relevant (e.g. toto points scored).
