PRE tag not working in 2.0

  • I have upgraded to 2.0 and when I save a post that uses the PRE tag to keep spaces in samples of code, all spaces inside PRE are deleted.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I tried to post something here using <pre>, but it is not allowed.

    I’m having the same problem — I’ve tried pre, code and verbatim, and none of them will preserve preformatted text. They either strip leading spaces or strip line breaks, running the text into one big paragraph.

    Two examples (using backticks instead of tags):
