• Hi
This is a pre-sales question about your My Calendar/My Tickets plugins; I hope you can answer.
I am setting up a website which offers 4-5 different courses in arts & crafts. Each course lasts between 3-6 hours on the same day (ie, no 2-day courses) and in the same location. Each separate course may occur 2-3 times in a week but not always on the same days and never at the same time as any other course.
I would like to create an event?page/post?for each course, which explains the course and allows users to book and pay for a place on the course. I would like users to be able to view (and choose) all available dates for the course on the same event page/post, ideally both in calendar format and a dropdown, where the desired date(s) can be selected, added to a basket and paid for/booked. Each course has a maximum of 8 places available to both adults and children (children’s tickets are cheaper than adults).
Is this something that you feel your plugin could accomplish? Most other event booking systems treat each course date as a separate ‘event’ which isn’t great for navigation when I have up to 15 of the same course per month (differentiated only by event date).
Any advice before purchasing would be very gratefully received.
    Regards
    Paul

In general, I can’t answer questions about my premium plug-ins in these forums. However, the questions you’re asking really don’t pertain to the pro plug-ins in any way – everything you’re describing is part of the fundamental tool in each plug-in.

What you’re asking for isn’t really something that my plugins can do out of the box, however. I can imagine ways it could be done, but it would require some custom work to implement the interface as you describe.

    Hi Joe
Thanks for replying and apologies for using the incorrect means of communication. Do you have a method whereby we can continue the discussion? I have set up a rudimentary page on a test site to show the sort of thing I’m trying to achieve:
    https://candyapplegrey.co.uk/course/have-a-go-stone-carving-course
The bottom of the page shows how I would ideally like the calendar and booking options to appear. I’m presuming I can display the relevant items using shortcodes.

There’s no need to move this conversation elsewhere, since it doesn’t actually pertain to any premium options.

It’s absolutely possible to create an interface like that, with some work. You’d have to build the form yourself, but you can add items to the cart via URL. A form that passed the event ID and ticket type via a URL to the cart page would add to the cart. But the form itself doesn’t already exist, so that would be the custom work required.
